In the event of a defective product, VALK will proceed, as appropriate, with repair, replacement (unless one of these options is impossible or involves disproportionate costs), price reduction or contract termination, at no cost to the user.

VALK is liable for any lack of conformity that becomes apparent within a period of three years from delivery, which will be deemed to have taken place on the date indicated on the invoice, purchase receipt or delivery note (whichever is later). The consumer must report the lack of conformity within a maximum period of two months from becoming aware of it.


The solutions offered will meet the following requirements:

  • They will be free of charge for the user, including any necessary costs such as transport or materials.
  • They will be carried out within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to the user.
  • The user shall make the product available to VALK, who will retrieve it in the least inconvenient manner possible.


VALK will cover the costs of collection and removal of the non-compliant product.

VALK will provide the consumer with documentary proof of the delivery date and the lack of conformity, and in the case of repair, proof of the delivery of the compliant product, with the date and corrective measure applied.


The consumer may also opt for a price reduction or contract termination in the following cases:

  • When bringing the product into conformity is impossible or disproportionate.
  • When the repair or replacement has not been carried out or has been performed incorrectly.
  • If a lack of conformity appears in the replaced item.
  • When the lack of conformity is so serious as to justify one of these two options.
  • If the company has declared, or it can be inferred from the circumstances, that it will not bring the goods into conformity within a reasonable period or without major inconvenience to the consumer.

VALK will refund the amount paid once the returned product is received or, where applicable, upon proof of its return provided by the consumer.

In case of a price reduction, the amount will be proportional to the difference between the value the product would have had if it were compliant and its actual value at the time of delivery.

Contract termination will not apply when the lack of conformity is of minor importance.


In addition, the consumer may:

  • Suspend any pending payments until VALK fulfils its obligations.
  • Request the correction of the lack of conformity, price reduction, or contract termination if third-party rights violations prevent or restrict the use of the product.
  • Not bear any cost for the normal use of the replaced product before replacement.
  • Claim compensation for damages if applicable, whether requesting repair, price reduction, or contract termination.
