Christmas is just around the corner and it's going to be epic. In 2020 due to the pandemic many big projects were left on stand-by, and in 2021 they finally see the light of day. This year we will have a lot to choose from!
Today we want to share with you what we think will be the most successful titles this Christmas. The list doesn't follow any particular order, it's just the way we came up with it. Here we go:
-
CALL OF DUTY: VANGUARD
This new game returns to the setting of World War II. The story mode stars four soldiers from different countries and is set on the Eastern and Western fronts, as well as the campaigns in North Africa and the Pacific.
-
GRAND THEFT AUTO: THE TRILOGY - THE DEFINITIVE EDITION
The remastered edition of all three games in the franchise originally released on PlayStation 2 between 2001 and 2004: Grand Theft III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. All three titles will feature improvements in both visuals and controls.
-
BATTLEFIELD 2042
We leave behind the settings of World War I and World War II and are transported to a conflict in the near future. We will enjoy large-scale combat with up to 128 players at a time, and spectacularly detailed graphics.
-
FAR CRY 6
Action, adventure and open world on the island of Yara, a fictionalised version of Cuba. We play the leader of a revolutionary guerrilla movement that aims to overthrow the dictatorial government of Anton Castillo.
-
MARVEL'S GUARDIANES DE LA GALAXIA
One of the most pleasant surprises at E3 2021. A third-person action game with an original story and a clear focus on offering a single-player narrative adventure, rather than a multiplayer experience like Marvel's Avengers.
-
ALAN WAKE REMASTERED
The psychological horror we met in 2010 is back with a multi-platform remaster. It will include all the content from the original game and will feature significant visual improvements in character modelling and cinematics.
-
AGE OF EMPIRES 4
Age of Empires is another of those mythical sagas that has returned this year. Real-time strategy at the highest level. This new release has managed to modernise the mechanics of the series without betraying its essence. You will be able to enjoy both solo and multiplayer.
-
METROID DREAD
19 years later, Samus Aran returns with a 2D adventure that picks up the story right where Metroid Fusion left off. It's been worth the wait, and Metroid Dread delivers a spectacular action-exploration adventure that keeps the essence of the series intact, while improving and streamlining gameplay.
-
DEATHLOOP
One of the games of the year and one of the most original of recent times. It is a first-person action game where we can use weapons and supernatural powers. Our objective will be to get out of the time loop in which we are trapped, repeating the same day over and over again, and to do so we will have to complete the mission before the cycle restarts again.
-
HALO INFINITE
The return of the legendary Master Chief, the most ambitious installment of the series ever created. A sci-fi shooter with Campaign and Multiplayer modes, which will be expanded in 2022 with Forge and Co-op modes, and will be voiced in Spanish from launch. Halo Infinite will be the workhorse of Xbox X Series and one of the most powerful Xbox Game Pass offerings. It will also be available on PC.
Are there any games missing from this list? We'll read you in the comments.
